The Resilient Marriage

Available now at Amazon.com

Every marriage faces conflict - but couples who prepare can grow stronger through it.
The Resilient Marriage is a practical, Bible-based study that helps couples explore eight common sources of marital stress: Communication, Finances, Spiritual Life, Roles in Marriage, Extended Family, Parenting, Intimacy, and Conflict Navigation. Each topic includes five short lessons designed to spark honest conversation, deepen connection, and encourage grace-filled growth.

Whether you're engaged, newly married, or navigating the ups and downs of marriage, this study offers a framework to identify challenges early and respond with wisdom and unity. Perfect for small group settings, premarital counseling, or one-on-one coaching, The Resilient Marriage is a valuable tool for couples and those who serve them.

Ways You Can Use This Resource

The Resilient Marriage is a flexible, grace-based tool designed to help couples grow stronger through conversation, reflection, and prayer. While the book is not meant to provide exhaustive answers, it is intended to spark meaningful dialogue around areas of marriage that often lead to conflict. Below are several ways you can use this book for personal or group enrichment:

For Couples

  • Daily Devotional Plan (40-Day Journey - Monday through Friday)
Read one short lesson per day. Use weekends to reflect, apply, or pray through insights from the week.
  • Weekly Devotion Plan (13 Weeks - Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
Read three times per week, allowing time between lessons to process and apply what you’ve learned.
  • Weekly Marriage Check-In
Use one topic per week for a date night, coffee conversation, or evening reflection.
  • Weekend Retreat Format
Read and reflect on one topic per session (morning, afternoon, evening) for a weekend of focused connection.
  • “Encourageability” Partner Plan
Pair with another couple. Check in weekly to encourage one another, discuss progress, and pray. Consider a monthly group meeting to celebrate wins, extend grace for struggles, and support one another.
  • Ask for Feedback
Invite insight from a trusted mentor, friend, counselor, or even children (if age-appropriate) on how your marriage is growing.

For Small Groups

  • 12-Week Group Study Plan
Cover one topic per week. Read the five short lessons at home, then gather weekly to discuss what stood out, how it applied, and how God is working.
  • Couples Discipleship Program
Integrate this book into premarital counseling, marriage mentoring, or church-based marriage ministry.
  • Marriage Enrichment Workshops
Use the material to host a series of marriage nights or retreats with teaching, discussion, and testimony-sharing built around each topic.
